Another Nephew!

Logan Justin

We are excited about our sweet little nephew. He was born Saturday to Siska and Justin (Dirk's sister), just in time for Father's Day! We'll get to meet him in a few weeks!

And now I can show pics of the quilt I made for him. Not knowing if Logan was going to be a boy or girl, I made a 'gender neutral' quilt in green, which actually matches his room!

Nephews, Quilts, and Stuff

So, someone way back when asked to see my darling two newest nephews. Well, sorry I didn't post anything. I was waiting for a convenient picture to come my way, and finally it has. Two months later, but I know still there's lots of family friends who'd love to get a look at these guys. Aren't they just darling?

Oh, and I should clarify here. Tys is on the left and Gideon on the right.

And since my own child is blissfully sleeping still, I can post some pics of the quilts I've been working on. They're my 'nap time projects', and it's slow going, I tell you what. But, since I'm at home, trying to be moderately quiet and all, sewing stuff has been a good outlet for some pent up energy. Well, energy of a sort, anyhow. It doesn't really burn calories to sew a quilt. I haven't actually 'quilted' them yet ('m waiting to save up some money for batting) but you get a good idea of what they're going to look like.

This is my current work in progress and is just the first block I've made. I have no clue how I'm going to lay this quilt out, I've just picked the fabrics and general pattern. Girly, huh?

These next two have been done for a while and are hanging in the closet waiting to be finished. But I do have the binding and backing ready to go for them!

Arie's doing well, but I've not got a picture. I ran out of batteries for my camera. He's scooting all over the house. His latest goal in life seems to be chasing balls into corners. Then he and the ball get stuck in the corner (he doesn't know how to back up yet) and then Mamma comes to the rescue. Same story multiple times a day, but actually, it's kinda fun. It's so nice to seem him able to play!

Cheers!
