A month later...

I haven't put out any 'Arie pictures' for almost a month! Time goes by so fast that before I know it, it's been a month or two since I put up a post! So here's a few pictures of our little guy.

Dad and Arie playing with a microphone. I think Dirk had more fun with the microphone than Arie!

Arie finally fits his Dutch-boy duds!

After a long morning at the farmer's market....

Don't you love the mini crocs?

These are the latest addition to our growing collection of therapy equipment-air splints. I had never heard of them, but they're sort of like floaties for swimming, except they go on the whole arm and you use them on dry land to help with some special exercises. The things they think of these days!

Well, that about brings us up to date in pictures. Mostly we just do normal stuff, things you don't think to take pictures of. And even if we did, I doubt anyone would want to look at them. Oh, and did you notice the new header? Spring has sprung, and aren't I happy that it has. It's luscious green all around, as far as I can see. Absolutely gorgeous.

May Day

It's May day, and even if it's rainy and shadowy outside, just knowing that it's now May gives me hope for beautiful weather soon. The daffodils are blooming all over the pasture out behind the house and look very cheery out there, even on gray days. It's finally dry enough to start spring work and so Dirk's a busy boy right now, mostly hauling fertilizer. He's working late tonight so I had to miss choir practice to stay home with Arie. Bummer...missing choir, not staying with Arie.

Today Arie got his resting braces. They had them ready in Lewiston last week, so we went down today to pick them up. It was a very odd coincidence that Arie's orthotics specialist who we just met a few weeks ago (he actually works in Spokane and has a clinic in Lewiston one day a week) just hired Dirk's good friend Richard (was in our wedding) to start working with him. Small world.

I took a picture last week of Dirk in the kitchen. There's a very nice gentleman who drops off leftovers from a local bakery occasionally, and we had baked goods overrunning our kitchen for a few days. It was driving Dirk nuts, and so we had to throw away some of the stuff that couldn't keep. Just a funny picture from our life.

I've been staying quite busy. We just found out that we're going to be moving to another house soon-ish, so I've started the packing. I'm starting to get good at this---fourth time in two and a half years! We don't actually know where in Moscow we're moving to yet. At least I'll have plenty of time to paint and clean before we move in!
