It's really starting to look like Spring here and the pussy willows have been the first to 'bloom' at the farm. Last summer Dirk whacked down a good bit of a sort of bush-tree in our back yard (it looked much better, but it did involve a lot of chopping) and we had no clue what sort of tree it was. Turns out, it's a pussy willow!

We spent the last weekend down in Boise, to see the babies and great-Grandma Turner. It was beautiful weather and lots of fun to see family.

The Quilts: I've never been much for sewing, but last fall Dirk got me a sewing machine and I thought I'd better put it to good use. I've been working a good long time during Arie's naps to make quilts for the two new DeWinkle boys. They were made to go with the nursery colors, and all said and done, I was rather pleased with the finished products. These give you a fairly good idea of what they look like:
